5 Day Big Data Analytics Workshop

Big Data has become ubiquitous in modern society, but drawing insights from it remains a challenge due to its unprecedented degrees of heterogeneity, often compounded by inadequate experimental design. The past decade has seen considerable developments with big data algorithms, but significant challenges remain for the area’s theoretical underpinning.

A 5 day big data analytics workshop covering Hadoop Ecosystem, MapReduce, Big Data stacks Hortonworks and Cloudera. The workshop also covers various tools and techniques on Big Data.

The aim of this workshop is to gather theory and methodology on big data. Explore new algorithms, but also develop theoretical understanding as to the analysis techniques that are optimal or preferable in different sampling scenarios. The workshop will feature on hands-on sessions on Big Data stacks and research directions brainstorming.

Venue Requirement:

Laptop Computer
Projector
Fair Internet Connection for Demonstrations
Mic/Speakers (if audience is large)
